It may be that you wish to join Scotland's leading law firm but are intent on specialising in commercial property work. Each year the firm takes on a number of trainees who wish to focus on this area of the law specifically. Dickson Minto's property division is dynamic and continues to expand rapidly. It specialises in every aspect of commercial property law both north and south of the border, including leasing; investment; development; restructuring; stamp duty savings schemes and fund set-up work as well as managing investment assets on behalf of a number of clients. We are now seeking ambitious commercial property trainees to join our specialist team in 2009. Our training is particularly thorough covering all aspects of Scottish and English commercial property law and practice for those wishing to specialise in this area. Remuneration is excellent and substantially above average. In the last 12 months, deals where the division has acted once more, highlight the unique nature of the property work undertaken by Dickson Minto placing it at the forefront of the United Kingdom property market. Examples include the acquisition of the Gyle Shopping Centre, Edinburgh, the acquisition of the Kwik Fit portfolio, acting for Bank of Ireland in funding the Forge Shopping Centre in Glasgow and the acquisition and sale of a large hotel portfolio, to name only a few. As well as being a stand alone unit, the division of course also provides dedicated property support to the firm's overall corporate effort maintaining first-hand knowledge of the large, complex deals with which Dickson Minto is frequently involved. To find out more about these positions, send your application form with a covering letter, to Ewan Sherriff, Commercial Property Partner.
